The Thai World Affair Center (Thai World)
is a non-profit organization with the primary goal of promoting
better understanding among peoples and nations of the world
in order to reduce sources of conflicts and tension. In its
effort to meet this goal through the dissemination of relevant
information on the organization’s website and implementation
of various activities, Thai World Affairs Center entirely
relies on public donations to run its administration and programs.
The operation of Thai World’ s website, the organization’s
main task, regularly requires the content update and web reconstruction,
all of which entail further costs for domain name registration
fee, web hosting annual fee, as well as purchase of domain
names. Moreover, there is an additional cost of implementing
supporting activities. Thai World thus requires funding to
continue its program operations and activities.
Currently, Thai World is funded by contributions from various
sources: international organizations, local and international
banks, businesses, and interested individuals. Its current
expenses are met by the interests from the endowment set up
by the original contributions and some additional donations.
Donations to the Thai World Affairs Center are welcome and
can be transferred to the Thai World Affairs Center through
‘bank account no. 045-2-907662, Siam Commercial Bank, Thai Red Cross Branch.
Any other forms of donation are also welcome, payable to ‘Thai
World Affairs Centre,’ and sent to the Thai World Affairs
Center, C/O The Institute of Asian Studies, Chulalongkorn
University, Bangkok 10330, Thailand
Anyone/ organization that contributes THB 100,000 or above
will be considered as the Thai World’s ‘Financial Patron’.
The patron’s name will be automatically and permanently included
in the ‘Board of Advisors’. Contributions of less than THB
100,000 will be duly acknowledged as from a financial contributor
and recorded in the Thai World’s archives.
